Spent Time

Written by Katie on April 28th, 2012

So. I’ve been doin’ some marinatin’ on time.

How do I spend the hours, minutes, days, months…and how do others spend their short time on Earth? Am I cherrishing those closest to me? Am I valuing what is around me? Am I focused on building my empire? Do I make an effort to learn something new? Subject matter? History? An art? A craft? Fishing? The list can go on…and on…I recently read that Americans spend a majority of their “FREE” time- get this- watching TV. Yeah, that’s right.

You can’t get it back. Ever. Can you cheat it? I think so. In my opinion, if you make your “free” time valuable, you can “cheat” time. Right? …Huh? Well, here’s the deal: If you spend your time learning something or becoming a positive influence in the world around, then, essentially, you have done something that time can’t take away. Right?

Say you work 8 hours a day, sleep 8, spend 3 eating/cooking/chores. 1 hr commute. That leaves 4 hours of “free” time.

I want to know how you spend it…

Ok. So, people I want to know what people are passionate about enough to “spend” their 4ish “free” hours, plus weekends doing.

Calling all hobbyists: Wittlers! Collectors! Bee keepers! Amateur writers! Artists! Etc…I want to know what people do, what pumps them up about it, how they got involved in it, and a few tricks on how to do it!!!
